I moved here from Long Island in 1978. I am a Realtor and Investor in the Phoenix Metro Area. This is a great place to live and own Real Estate. I got the Real Estate bug after attending a “Robert Allen- No Money Down Seminar”.  I am a private person and do not discuss my family, religion or politics on this site.

I like Real Estate because you are in control of your investment and not sending your money to total strangers on Wall St. They get paid whether you make money or not. It does not matter to them.  I think by now it has been proven beyond a doubt that there is a lot of lying and cooking the books on Wall St and at many Banks. They just can’t be trusted to do the right thing with the nest egg you work so hard for. There is a place for Wall St and Banks in most peoples investment plans but not for your primary nest egg.

Real Estate affords you the ability to use leverage to control assets. It still has tax favored status as Real Estate and as a business if you have investment properties. This is one of the few ways that the average guy working a job can build up something of significant worth and income.

Another way is by starting, owning, and eventually selling your own business. That is much harder to do for the working guy/gal. Real Estate affords the opportunity to do both. Most people know about houses, can find out what they are worth, can develop a business asset they can sell later on when they want to.

There are a lot of ways to make money in Real Estate. A person can develop a specialty and become sought after as an expert.
